Complete Dentures

Complete dentures are full-coverage oral prosthetic devices that replace a complete arch of missing teeth. Complete dentures can be either “conventional” or “immediate.” Made after the teeth have been removed, and the gum tissue has begun to heal. It’s a removable appliance used when all teeth within a jaw have been lost and need to be prosthetically replaced. In contrast to a partial denture, a complete denture is constructed when there are no more teeth left in an arch, hence it is an exclusively tissue-supported prosthesis. A complete denture can be opposed by natural dentition, a partial or complete denture, fixed appliances, or sometimes, soft tissues.

Hybrid Dentures

Hybrid dentures, also called fixed-detachable dentures, are used to replace missing teeth and gum tissue with a prosthetic attached to dental implants. Using precise CAD/CAM technology for milling the implant bar, acrylic teeth are processed to a custom bar and attached via abutment screws. When there is a lot of bone loss in your jaws and you would like teeth that don’t have to be taken out, a Hybrid Denture is the best solution. A regular porcelain bridge that doesn’t replace any of the gum tissue gives teeth the appearance of being way too large for your mouth. A hybrid denture solves this problem by replacing the gum tissue with pink acrylic between the teeth to allow normal appearance.

Immediate Denture

Immediate dentures are dentures that are inserted into a patient’s mouth immediately after their teeth are removed. With this, you can begin learning to eat and speak with your new teeth.There are several advantages of an immediate denture. The most important factor is that you will never appear to be without teeth! It is also easier to duplicate the shape, color, and arrangement of your natural teeth while some are still present in your mouth.

Deluxe Dentures

Deluxe dentures are a much better choice than traditional dentures. With use of high quality denture teeth and acrylic characterization, we achieve excellent cosmetic results, but they often lack in function.

Implants are not a new technique, but have improved greatly in recent years. The procedure involves surgically placing a fixture in the jaw (bone) to which dentures are attached. These offer a wonderful alternative for denture wearers! Depending on the situation, several methods and techniques can be used.

Rejuvenating Dentures

This is the type of denture we feel most comfortable offering to our patients. Although they are more expensive, the superior fit, function, and aesthetics are worth the additional cost. The results may even make people think that you’ve had facelift!

Snap–on Dentures

Are secured to the jaw using implant snaps, instead of glue or adhesive to keep the dentures in place. The implant snaps are anchored in the jaw bone. The snap on dentures are a palate-less denture. They come adapted with encrusted rubber housings on the internal base. These rubber housings will sit over the head of each mini-implant.

How does the snap on denture clip down?

When the snap on denture sits over the head of the mini implants they will snap, clip, anchor, or lock them. This snap provides a strong grip to give the patient bite stability and strength to chew.

You will need to press them down with your fingers against your gums. To unlock them, apply the same pressure. They can snap on and off as many times needed!

Mini Implants – The Root

Through a minimally invasive surgery, mini implants are placed by Dr. Collins. These anchor the denture and strengthen the jawbone. The mini implant system consists of a miniature titanium alloy implant that acts like the root of your tooth, and a retaining fixture that is incorporated into the base of your denture.

Snap on Dentures – The Teeth

Snap in or snap on dentures are a removable, palate-less denture that snaps on and off as many times as needed. The snap or “clip” happens when the denture is pressed gently onto the head of the mini implants. Providing a removable solution and a strong bite! Snap on dentures grant the stability and strength to eat the foods you like, such as nuts, apples, carrots, etc.

Snap on dentures are NOT permanent dentures.
